It's kinda a long story, but there's a happy ending. The short: We had a bike shelf (given as a gift) where we had to drill in 3 massive holes to accommodate wall anchors. The shelf itself was quite heavy. It fell from the wall about 1.75 years later, leaving a nasty stain on the wall from the wood stain (it wasn't Oak after all. Crate and Barrel sucks). This rack saved any further damage to our wall. We didn't have to drill even one hole! It's amazing how this stands up on it's own by using the forces of physics! I super recommend to anybody with two bikes. This is in our living room and it looks great. The long: My husband and I had just moved into our first 1-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles. Before we had a small studio apartment, where by a miracle of God, we had stored our bicycles in a storage closet. But this move proved a little difficult since the floor plan was a bit narrow and there was no built-in storage like our old studio. We moved in mid December, so by Christmas we were getting little houseware gifts from our close family members- one of them being a bike shelf from Crate and Barrel. By itself it already weighed about 20 lbs and in the back of my head my concerns were popping up. I wanted to return it so bad. We had two bikes, and this was for a single bike. But up in went. We drilled in 3 massive holes to accommodate hollow wall anchors. Were we saving money? Kinda, since we didn't have to get a bike rack ourselves. Fast forward 1.75 years: we came home one day to find the bike on the ground along with the shelf. It didn't hold anymore. We weren't going to force it back on the wall. It also left a nasty stain on the wall where the shelf once was. It was from Crate and Barrel and I guess they lied about it being "oak" since it was clearly stained to LOOK like oak. Additionally, it was one of those boxy "shelves" that could accommodate keys and other junk I suppose, but we used it not virtually nothing since we had to put it about 6' from the floor to place our second bike underneath. My husband knew I hated that thing from the getco and he didn't put up much fight when I told him it wasn't going back up. I'm sure he knew this too but was being polite to the shelf since it was a gift. It took us about 2 months to find a suitable replacement. Researching a new bike rack felt like speed dating. I had a list of requirements (lightweight, good design (minimal), hopefully no new holes, takes up no room on it's own), so a lot of candidates fell from consideration. This Delta bike rack was like one of the very last stands that I found, and it checked everything off the list! I'm quite glad we had 2 months of patience while having two bikes on the floor, but it was worth it. It comes with additional hooks to place on the stand to hold your helmets or whatever else you have.

This bike rack is incredible and here's why: 1) It leans against the wall and requires no bolts or screws to hold in place (although it comes with anchoring hardware). 2) It's designed so it leans against the wall and the more weight you put on it, the more secure it is against the wall. This is a very sturdy bike rack. 3) Not sure where it's made, but it's very solid. The paint is thick, the arms are robust, and the rubber protectors are thick too. Once the screws (they seem like stainless steel) holding it together are fastened, it feels very secure. 4) It's nice to get the bicycles off the ground. I have 2 bikes on this rack and the tires on the bottom one are about 6-8 inches off the ground. That doesn't seem like much but having the tires elevated makes cleaning under the bikes very easy and convenient. 5) The price is great. 6) Setup is very simple and quick.

Assembly took less than 15 mins. Only tool needed was a screwdriver. Hooks are easy to mount - dismount, and brings 2 extra smaller hooks which I'll use to hang helmet and any other accessory to have at hand. No need for holes in the wall, which is very attractive for me. Regardless, the stand is sturdy and stable against the wall, without using much space on the base. I hung a road bike and tri on top. It works as described and looks amazingly organized. As an additional benefit it can be used as a maintenance stand or to change wheels, or minor setups

We moved across the country, and ended up in an apartment complex where I can't drill wall anchor holes, so I needed a couple gravity racks for the bikes. Since I've been happy with Delta racks in the past, I was glad to see that they had a gravity rack available. I've now had a pair of these out on a windy 5th-floor balcony for four months. They don't budge. I don't think these are really intended for outdoor use, but our new climate gets very little rain so we figured we'd risk it. So far, the only damage I see is that the color is fading out of the rubber padding in the SoCal sun. As far as I can tell that's purely a cosmetic problem so far. My one complaint is that the accessory hooks are quite easy to dislodge if you bum them just wrong when they are lightly laden.

I use this stand to vertically store my extra small women's hybrid bicycle flat against the wall. I've been using it for a few days now and couldn't be happier. I share a 500 square foot apartment and this stand takes up virtually none of the limited floor space. Surprisingly sturdy AND cool looking! Highly recommended.

This is the coolest bike stand you could ever buy, ever. We hung two bikes on here and this thing isn't even bolted to the wall. It just leans on the wall and hold your bikes, effortlessly. It doesn't even look like it's going to slip or fall or tip over. People come over and we get compliments on it all the time. It's a really easy and affordable way to store your bikes.

This stand doesn't seem like it should work, but it does and it's amazing! Putting the stand together took just a couple minutes. It literally just leans against my wall and takes up very little space on the ground. It's been so nice being able to get my bike up and out of the way--also I think it looks cool. Everyone is always surprised when they first see it and they have to go touch it to believe it's so sturdy. The way it's made the bike actually is pulled towards the wall, so there is absolutely no chance of the stand tipping over. Besides being immensely practical I honestly just think this is a cool, well designed product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to free up some space and store their bikes.

Alright, this thing is seriously awesome. Living in a small apartment, I am able to store both my bikes against a wall and maximize my space. The only "downside" is I now have to make sure my bikes are always squeaky clean as they have become art now when in my place. Rack is stable with one, both, or none of the bikes on it.

I don't easily handout 5 stars for products but I think this one earned it. Price: was decent when compared to alternatives in the market Assembly: was a piece of cake (literally.. I had cake while assembling it). It took about 15 minutes. No additional tools needed. Functionality: We have two bikes (cycle-cross and hybrid). They're not very heavy but are not super light either. I've had my bikes setup on them for a little over a week now and they haven't moved an inch. The included hooks work well and can be easily moved to accommodate different bike frames. Quality: Feels sturdy and should last as long as we feel like keeping it. The hooks to put the bikes on have good rubber material on them that provides adequate amount of grip to keep the bikes from sliding. I installed the optional wall screw just to give me peace of mind but honestly, I don't think it needed it. Leaning against the wall combined with the weight of the bikes, it's been rock solid. I'm glad I went with this one over others and would highly recommend it.

I have a small bedroom and that was the only wall space I could find in my apartment to put this. It's great! I attached pictures, it's such a space saver (for size reference, my bed is a full--that's how small my bedroom is). And for the price, you cannot beat it. I would recommend attaching it to the wall, and use a wall anchor if you have sheetrock. I was putting one bike on the top and it kind of got hung up and started to come forward. I'm kind of clumsy, so I figured attaching it to the wall was just best for me anyways. It was easy to put together and everything feels solid. I highly recommend this thing :-)
