I honestly don't know what the people that complain about this are thinking... I't not going to be as thick as your homes carpet, that wouldn't work in this application. I leave mine on to include while traveling until the hot dry summer season returns.

These installed very easily. They do not slide around at all when walking up and down the stairs. My metal stairs got super slippery whenever it rained which is why I purchased three of these. Not only do they make my stairs safer, they also help catch some of the dirt before its tracked in! I've seen several poor reviews complaining that they are too small. I'm assuming those buyers failed to measure their steps before purchasing because they are true to the size on the listing. As you can see mine don't extend all the way to the ends of my steps. I simply centered them and they work just fine. I am pleased with this purchase and the price I paid.

We ended up purchasing three of these rugs for our 5th wheel because the three steps had no covering on them. We were often tracking in dirt and with wet feet, mud. These rugs have effectively stopped that from happening. They attach using coiled springs that fit into one of two "grommeted" holes (for different width steps) that stay under the step. Installation is pretty easy and these rugs are actually quite sturdy and do not move around much, even under heavy traffic. The options for colors is nice. We ordered the 18" length rugs and they are perfect for our RV. Make sure you measure your steps before buying. Overall, a very satisfied customer.

I have had these one the steps of my camper for a few years now. They still look good (a little faded, but not bad). The steps can still be retracted with them on and they help catch some of the dirt and debris. No complaints at all. They are easy to install and inexpensive. Buy them!

For the price, it gets 5 stars, but that is it. What you are buying is convenience. It is a conveniently cut piece of outdoor carpet material to help keep dirt and debris out of your camper. The carpet has 2 metal and good quality grommets on the ends to secure it to the step, but it is secured by a cheap spring. That is my complaint. The spring is weak and low quality, I even had one fall off the day I put it on. I have mine held in place with 2 zip ties and no issues after many miles on the road and days at locations. I would still recommend all RV enthuses pick one up just help keep dirt out, but also pick you up a bag of zip ties. https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Tensile-Strength-Outdoor-Resistant/dp/B01N99G30A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532324135&sr=8-1&keywords=bag+of+zip+ties

This was kind of a pain to put on until I figured out the trick. I just criss cross the spring holes, instead of trying to go directly across from grommet to grommet. The thing stays on well and does not slip, etc. The carpet catches a lot of dirt that would otherwise be going into the RV. I just sweep and spray off when needed. This step adds a lot of grip to the steps.

The poor dogs kept getting their nails caught in the holes in the steps and would break the nails off. This not only prevents that from ever happening again, they were ridiculously easy to put on, stay on without managing, help keep the dirt and rocks out of the camper, and keep the steps a comfy temperature on bare feet. They were very worth it and more. I will be buying more and keeping them as spares.

Had my doubts but these really work, I got a second one for the second step after trying it for a while. They really help keep dirt and grass out of the rv. You do have to vacuum them once in a while for best results. They have multiple colors as well.

These are great for keeping dirt and sand out of the camper. The install was a little tricky because our bottom stair has a bar running beneath but a little patience and wiggling the cover around will get the job done.

After having an RV for over 2 years without step covers I am amazed how wonderful these little rugs work. It's such a simple concept but works so well. They are easy to attach (2 springs clip eyelets below the steps) and not only feel better on bare feet but do a great job removing dirt from shoes. I haven't been able to use them more than 1 trip so I can't comment on the durability yet. For an inexpensive product I would recommend these even if they last once a year.
